Since 2011 we support and develop the GEH- Garden for Education and Healing in Bamenda, which was founded by Rev. Samuel Ngnitidem und Sister Ann in 2001. The complex is a combination of the orphanage and a natural healing garden. It is planned to enlarge the complex to 19 buildings, while the GEH-clinic is a autonomous project in cooperation with Anamed International.
For the orphanage some operationally relevant buildings need to be added. Including sleeping rooms for the workers, a house for the guests, the director´s house and the house for the sisters. At first there shall be build a house for the older orphanes and composting toilets and stables shall arise. To complement the cultural and spiritual program of the orphanage, a chapel shall arise. After buying a neighboring property a school is planned to be build.
The locally existing resources and capabilities should be used, to empower the people to build there own ecological project. They will be supported financially and with the needed know how. The goal is to create a a clean environment, with a projet that is economically autonomous, environmentally sustainable and that is a role model for further projects. What is build there today will be the heritage for following generations.
